National Conference on ‘Media at the Crossroads: Balancing Human and Artificial Intelligence’ scheduled on Ja

Abstracts invited for TMV-JMC National Conference 2024 titled ‘Media at the Crossroads: Balancing Human and Artificial Intelligence’ scheduled on Jan 8 and 9, 2024.

Every new invention in communication technology sparks engaging discussions and fierce debates about how they will impact the media. Commonplace uses of artificial intelligence and data-driven content strategies have become the order of the day. They need close scrutiny to fully comprehend how earlier practices that depended largely on human intelligence will be affected by the new technologies. The impact will be felt not only in the process of content creation but also in media business, personnel management and media education. The use of AI will also have to be studied from the audience's perspective.

However, at present the discussion about the impact of AI may be somewhat speculative in nature, as it is an evolving process and the results have not fully presented themselves.  Therefore, a scrutiny of contemporary media (of the pre-AI era) also is of significant academic interest. Research that documents the current practices will be of great value for comparative studies in the future.

TMC-JMC National Conference 2024 will provide the perfect platform to industry professionals, media educators and researchers to share their observations and insights.

With the aim to balance the past, present and future media activities the conference will feature experts who will explore the central theme of the conference ‘Media at the Crossroads: Balancing Human and Artificial Intelligence’ from several angles.

Media educators and researchers will get the opportunity to present their research before peers and engage in stimulating academic dialogue.
