Prof. Dr. Mangesh Karandikar has joined Mumbai-based Deviprasad Goenka Management College of Media Studies as Director after 11 years with the Department of Communication and Journalism, University of Mumbai.
DGMC as the college is called. is dedicated to providing quality media education to media aspirants and have a wide range of programmes. Apart from BMM (Bachelor in Mass Media) and MACJ (Master of Arts in Communication and Journalism), DGMC also offers BA and MA degrees in Film, Television and new Production, under the Innovative Courses from University of Mumbai.
The college also offers an unique AICTE Approved two year full time Post Graduate Diploma in Management specializing in Media.

The two-year PGDM program at Deviprasad Goenka Management College of Media Studies (DGMC), offering specialization options in Media & Entertainment and Advertising has been developed specially to cater to the changing needs of global Media, Entertainment and Advertising industry. The program is so devised to prepare students not only in the managerial aspects of the said sectors but also with due emphasis on marketing and brand management of various products and services associated with these sectors. For the first time it takes the students through the entire pipe line of production process with regards to the content creation for various media pads, providing the students an insight in to the correlation that exists between content creation and associated media business.
