‘Life 365’, a new English
daily, made its appearance in Pune today. It is not a ‘news’paper in the conventional sense. Its Chief Editor Anand Agashe says the
daily rejects negativity and seeks to promote good values in personal and public
life.
It is not newsy, as the newspapers and news channels are. It promises to
be 'An inspiring daily that touches your
heart' going beyond
headlines and breaking news that have been done to death on television the

Mr Agashe is a veteran journalist with rich experience of 30 years in The Times of India, The Indian Express, The
Independent, Loksatta and Sakaal
group of newspapers.
He says the daily will reject negativity and promote good values in public life through stories, articles, interviews and first person accounts that are essentially inspirational.

The Life 365 is the new product of the 41
year old media house owned by Aaj Ka Anand Papers Ltd that brings out Aaj Ka Anand (Hindi daily) and Sandhyanand (Marathi). Mr Shyam Agrawal
is the publisher and founder editor of the dailies and his son Anand the managing
editor.
Mr Agashe says the content canvas of The Life 365 is glocal and care is taken to ensure that it is
relevant for the target reader. Several 'entry points' for readers have
been kept in all the 16 pages to make the daily interactive and participatory. He
believes that the 25 inch 'slim' look and full colour printing makes the daily
stand out in the clutter.
Ms Vinita Deshmukh, another veteran journalist in Pune, is the Editor of
Life 365. With nearly 20 years of
experience in media, she was Senior Editor at The Indian Express, Pune. She also founded and edited a weekly
magazine called Intelligent Pune that
focused on civic issues. Vinita is also a Consulting Editor at Money Life. She is a staunch RTI
activist and has been on the forefront of several civic campaigns.
The Aaj Ka Anand Group has engaged MediaNext Info-processors Pvt Ltd to
structure the paper, set up an editorial team and provide editorial management
for Life 365. All other operations
(marketing, administration, circulation etc) are being handled by Aaj Ka Anand
Group.
MediaNext is a multi-media communication and content company headed by Mr
Agashe. Abhay Kulkarni and Amit Tekale are the other directors of MediaNext
Info-processors. Both were his journalist colleagues in Sakaal earlier.
