Shekhar Gupta has bid adieu as Editor-in-Chief of Indian Express. He has been with the group for 19 years. There have been rumours floating in the industry for the last six months that Gupta is leaving the Express Group and might join the India Today Group.In his letter to his colleagues on June 2, 2014, Gupta said: “Goodbye notes can be heartwarming or heartbreaking. On a rare occasion they can be both. This is one such. It is time for me to say goodbyes at the Express -- for the second time. The first was exactly at the same time of the year in 1983 when most of you were not born yet.Shekhar Gupta is joining India Today Group as Vice Chairman and Editor-in-Chief.
