I reproduce the following appeal from Prof Dr Maria Mercedes F. Robles:

8 March 2012
Dear AMIC Members and Friends:
Greetings from AMIC!
On behalf of the Board and Members, I thank Dr. Sundeep Muppidi for his two-year stint as Secretary-General of AMIC. His leave from the University of Hartford, Connecticut, USA, has ended. We are grateful for his service, which resulted in many positive developments in our organisation. He continues to help with some projects and will undoubtedly be an active AMIC member and supporter.
In view of the return of Dr. Muppidi to his home University, we have embarked on a search for a new Secretary General. The incoming SG will begin his/her term at an auspicious time as AMIC celebrates its 40th Anniversary this year.
I have agreed to serve as Acting Secretary General in the interim period. I have been on the Board of Directors since 2007 and since 2009, its Deputy Chair.
The advertisement for the job is appended below. Should you consider yourself suitable for the position, do consider applying for the job. We shall also be very grateful if you would help us spread the word around and pass on this ad to suitable candidates.
Please note that the deadline for applications is 15 May 2012. Your help is most appreciated.

Warm thanks and regards.
Yours sincerely,

Maria Mercedes F. Robles
Acting Secretary General
